The Reception Team have been instructed by the GP Partners to ask their patients a couple of non intrusive questions for them to be able to give you access to the most appropriate clinician on the day.

Following NHS England guidelines because of the Coronavirus we have had to suspend all online booking appointments until further notice. If you need to book an appointment please call reception or come into the surgery when we are open. For patients concerned that they may have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has, the NHS 111 online service has created coronavirus pages that tell patients what they should do based on their particular circumstances.  These can be accessed at:




All travellers who develop relevant symptoms ( for example respiratory symptoms, shortness of breath, cough, fever) however mild, within 14 days of returning or transitioning from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau should not attend the practice, but should remain at home and immediately call NHS 111 for advice.


Brexit and the Supply of Medication

Please be reassured that the availability of medication post Brexit is being closely monitored nationally. You are kindly asked not to stockpile your medication as this will create unnecessary stock shortages. Just order your usual quantities as normal.

The information on this website is intended to help you get the best from the many services available in the surgery.

Westcroft Health Centre is a partnership of four doctors who are part of a large multi-disciplinary health care team.

The Partners are Dr Suneth Godagama, Dr Asmaa Ali, Dr Nina Patel and Dr Sujith Godagama.

Working alongside the partners are two salaried GP's Dr Kanchana Godagama and Dr Arshdeep Bhatti, and a long term locum Dr Sehar Ali

The practice population is continually growing and it is projected that there will eventually be 15,000 patients. The doctors, practice team and community team work closely together to provide a high quality service that is sensitive to patient needs.

The practice consulting rooms are situated on the ground floor with excellent waiting room facilities.  We are fully equipped with facilities for the disabled. The Health Visitors and the Community Mental Health Team are located on the first floor which has lift and stair access.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Minor Illness Nurse

Our minor illness nurses can deal with all minor ailments such as Rash, Tonsillitis, Earache, Back Ache, Acne, and more. They are qualified to issue prescriptions when there is a clinical need.

Please be aware our Minor Illness Nurses cannot

  • see children under 6 months,
  • do referrals,
  • do medication reviews,
  • do cervical smears.

Repeat Prescription Requests

Please remember to allow 48 hours for all prescription requests to be processed.

Your Prescription needs to arrive at the surgery before 2pm. If it is received after this time it will be treated as being recieved the following day.

Saturday and Sunday are not working days.

If you collect your prescription from a pharmacy please allow 2 extra days for these.
